This book is an amazing read. I laughed, I cried and I made a complete connection with the author. This well written story of the Author's life touched my mind, my heart and my soul all in one sitting. It took a very short time to read but will be with me forever.

I was very touched by this book - the writing style is unique and a very easy read. As a child of Holocaust survivors myself, there is no doubt that Esterleon's outlook of life has been shaped by the tragedy of that period of history. The statistics are something like 80% of survivors and refugees children have dedicated their lives to doing something in the helping profession; Estherleon is a multi-talented, super-sensitive soul, who wants to make this world a better place by sharing her painful and wonderful life story and her exceptional voice. Congratulations on a very well-written memoir.

Tears of Stone was moving and touching in its raw account of an individual's and a family's struggle. The story and the life reflect pain and love in all its forms, at all ages, in all contexts. Ruminations on deep-seated feelings of anger and abandonment, coupled with unconditional love and faith made Tears of Stone an emotional and worthwhile read.

Tears of Stone is a beautiful study of a complicated relationship with a mother and her daughter but it is told in a creative, light, self-effacing manner. In this way I believe that the reader will easily relate to similar issues within their own life and will find this book to be inspiring and healing.
